After the Mellowdrive warm-up project I decided to source my own parts for the next project from PedalPartsPlus. I got the pre-fabricated circuit boards from GuitarPCB.com for something like $2 each–since they were BOGO I made one for myself and one for a friend.
The first one I made is working well after some de-bugging. Originally my rate knob was reversed and I was getting some clipping even at low volumes. After investigating the pedal I had a transistor plugged into the socket backwards and a loose solder joint, so I fixed them both and now it’s working great. The jury is still out on the second pedal.
