Amber Ale Alpha

Amber Ale Alpha

This was my first-ever brew.  I got an “Amber Waves” extract kit from Home Sweet Homebrew in Philadelphia and only changed the priming sugar–I know, boring, right?

I was really anxious to try this beer so I don’t think I left this beer in fermentation long enough.  It had some strange off-flavors the first few weeks after carbonating, but after a month or so these went away.  After that point it was a really nice, smooth amber ale.

Malorie taught me Photoshop basics so I could make the label… I was going for a look similar to the original “Northwoods” memo, the namesake of my beer and music.
