Hard Apple Cider
This was my first, and so far my only, cider. Hopefully that will change soon as I really enjoyed having this around. Plus it was incredibly easy to make and required no actual brewing.
I took 2 gallons of Whole Foods’ apple cider that comes in big glass jugs, mixed it with a half gallon of Linvilla Orchards, added a half-pound of dark brown sugar, and a packet of Lalvin D-47 yeast. 2.5 gallons was nowhere near enough! Especially after I split the batch in half and made 1.25 gallons of spiced cider (nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove soaked in vodka) and 1.25 gallons plain, dry, still cider.
